Talk-a-thon 2021

December 1st — The first annual Conversations to Remember Talk-a-thon officially begins today!

Participants have been registering and fundraising for a few weeks already, with more than $10,000 raised towards the final goal of $100,000 for the organization. The money raised will go towards training students and supplying technology to needy seniors, building out our infrastructure and enabling increased outreach to lonely seniors.

On a broader level, the Talk-a-thon aims to increase communication between participants and seniors, as well as raise awareness about senior isolation and loneliness. The designated 15 days during which the Talk-a-thon takes place should be filled with meaningful conversations and moments that leave seniors feeling cared for and valued.

Signing up for the Talk-a-Thon is simple, takes only a few minutes and is open to anyone.

To sign up and start fundraising, simply access the link to register from the Conversations to Remember website. From there, participants can choose to either make a donation or fundraise. Fundraising entails raising money either individually or as part of a team. Participants are eligible for donated raffle prizes courtesy of generous corporations who support Conversations to Remember. Eligibility information is available on the website.

Campaigning can be done by using multiple social media platforms — this reaches a wide audience and simultaneously raises awareness and funds for the organization.
