At Conversations to Remember, we recognize that our success hinges not only on the dedication of our volunteers and the enthusiasm of our students but also on the collective efforts of a diverse and passionate community. Most people think of us as an organization made up of young adult volunteers. As we continue our mission of fostering meaningful connections between students and seniors through virtual visits, we want to invite adults beyond that young adult category who share our vision of combating social isolation among seniors to join us in various capacities where their skills and expertise can make a significant difference. Following are some of the roles that we need volunteers to assist with:
Training Volunteers
Are you experienced in mentorship or education? We’re looking for people with a few hours or more to dedicate each week to assist in training our volunteers to ensure they have the tools and knowledge necessary to facilitate engaging and meaningful conversations between students and seniors.
Public Relations Assistance
Effective communication is essential in spreading awareness of our cause and attracting more volunteers, seniors, and donors. If you have experience in public relations or marketing, your expertise could help amplify our message and reach a broader audience.
Newsletter Support
Our newsletter serves as a vital communication channel for sharing updates, stories, and inspiring testimonials from our community. We’re seeking individuals with a knack for writing, editing, or production design to contribute their skills to our newsletter team.
Project Management
As we grow and expand our initiatives, efficient project management becomes increasingly crucial. If you excel in organization, planning, and execution, we would greatly appreciate your assistance for at least 5 hours per week to ensure our projects run smoothly and effectively.
Grant Writing and Fundraising
Securing funding is essential for sustaining and expanding our programs. If you have experience in grant writing, fundraising, or donor relations, your expertise could help us secure the resources needed to continue making a positive impact.
Administrative Assistance
Assist our administrator to keep the virtual visit program running seamlessly. We need volunteers who can dedicate at least 15 hours per week.
Whether you have a few hours to spare each week or wish to lend your expertise on a project basis, your contribution will play a vital role in furthering our mission. Together, we can continue to create conversations to remember and combat social isolation among seniors.
